Silverdome Event Media Credential Policy and Process
The Silverdome welcomes media coverage of all events, subject to the policies of event promoters.
Members of the media who wish to attend an event at the Silverdome as part of the working press should send an e-mail to silverdome@starrconstand.com and include the following information:
- Name of the person(s) attending
- Name of media outlet
- Type of media (Writer, photographer, video, etc.)
- Contact e-mail and phone number for all attendees
- Mailing address
- Special requirements (Patch box to live truck, etc.)
- Freelance reporters/shooters also require some form of engagement letter from their assigning editor
Approved media members will receive an event-specific credential and parking pass for reserved media parking. Credentialed media have access to secured, media-only press areas with wifi Internet access, electrical outlets and a view of the main floor of the facility.
Credential requests will be accepted beginning on the ticket onsale date and credentials will be distributed a few days before the event.
Special policies for bloggers and other nontraditional media:
The Silverdome welcomes bloggers and other "citizen journalists" who have a proven track record of relevant content development and audience attention to attend Silverdome events as credentialed members of the media. These credentials may be limited in number or distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis.
In addition to the above requirements for all media, we also ask for:
- URL for blog or other content platform
- Length of time in existence
- Visitor traffic figures, if available
- More than one direct link to content that is relevant to the event in question
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT PROMOTER POLICIES OR OTHER FACTORS OUTSIDE THE SILVERDOME MANAGEMENT'S CONTROL MAY CHANGE THE MEDIA CREDENTIALING POLICIES AND/OR PROCEDURES FOR ANY EVENT. THE SILVERDOME OWNERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE CREDENTIALS AND/OR ADMITTANCE TO ANYONE REGARDLESS OF THESE POSTED POLICIES.
